8th Grade vs Clinton-Massie Middle School (29 - 28) - It was very back and forth the whole entire game. Batavia held the lead throughout 3 quarters but it was always close. Clinton Massie tied the game in the 4th and even took a 2 pt lead late. With under a minute left in the 4th, Batavia ended back with the ball and from a timeout drew up a play. The initial look wasn’t there however a pass got through to Caleb Stephenson and he threw up a shot which was too long. Zach Mckeon rebounded the shot and went up for a basket and scored to put Batavia up 1 with 10 seconds left. Massie had the ball under their basket and ended up getting a man open who missed the shot however there was a foul before the shot. Massie was at the line down 1 with 2 free throws. He missed the first free throw and Batavia takes a timeout and from the timeout Massie missed the second free throw and time expired. Batavia won 29-28
